Bioenergy Australia's premier bioenergy conference, Bioenergy Australia 2016, is being held at the Mercure Brisbane, Brisbane, Queensland, from Monday 14 November - Tuesday 15 November 2016 with a technical tour on Wednesday, 16 November.

Bioenergy Australia has to date held sixteen very successful conferences and integrated exhibitions from 2000 – 2015. Over the past several years this conference has attracted between 200 – 300 delegates from across Australia and also from overseas. It is anticipated that this year’s conference will be similarly successful, with the draft program now being developed.

The Conference is being scheduled to link with the IEA Bioenergy EXCO Meetings that are to be held in Rotorua, New Zealand on the Wednesday Thursday and Friday of the previous week. This year we anticipate several international experts from the International Energy Agency's Bioenergy program,  providing presentations within the conference program.  Australia's participation in five Tasks of IEA Bioenergy, supported by funding from ARENA’s Emerging Renewables Program, will be a feature of the conference.  The conference will highlight the substantial prospects for biomass as a future low emission energy source and feedstock for bio-based industries, while stimulating economic growth.
