Overcoming psychological barriers to widespread acceptance of mass timber construction in Australia
The presentation reports the results of a recently completed FWPA project (PNA309-1213) to better understand the psychological hurdles and issues to a wider adoption of Mass Timber Construction (MTC) in Australia.
The project comprised of two study components:
Study 1) a survey of the general public; and Study 2) interviews with various stakeholders in the building industry.
Based on the findings of the surveys, recommendations are provided addressing the identified barriers. The report is due to be published shortly.
