If you haven’t already made use of FWPA’s recently revamped photo library, ImageShare, you could be missing out on valuable opportunities to make your promotional assets even more visually engaging.

This unique and convenient resource is home to hundreds of incredible photos available free at the click of a button. Check out this slide show to see just a few examples:

ImageShare has long supported the sector by providing free access to an extensive and diverse range of images for the creation of impactful marketing collateral.

Packed full of high-quality professional photographs of wood, timber, forests, building projects and industry initiatives, members are encouraged to make the most of this handy resource simply by registering.

Thanks to the library’s recent upgrade, regular users are reporting a better experience when searching for the right image. This is largely due to improved searchability, made possible by increasing the number of tags and keywords associated with each image.

The below word cloud reflects all the subject matter, terms and words added to make searching easier and guide users towards the most appropriate image for their purposes:

“ImageShare offers a quality source of free imagery, which can be easily identified and downloaded in high resolution for use in any type of visual collateral, from websites to flyers, newsletters, EDMs, brochures, reports and so much more,” said Eileen Newbury, Head of the WoodSolutions Program.

“It’s such a great resource, particularly for FWPA members, stakeholders from across the forest and wood products supply chain, design and build specifiers committed to using wood, and the media.”

Yvette Nash, General Manager at ForestWorks, is a frequent user of the ImageShare library, and described how valuable it has been to the organisation.

“We love the FWPA image library, ImageShare! I know it’s a cliché, but a picture tells 1,000 words,” said Nash.

“And while we use our own photos where we can, we don’t always get the quality pictures we need. We use images from the library to liven up social media posts, to give colour to training materials, and in our annual report.”

Another recently introduced ImageShare feature is the addition of a series of photo albums that group images into specific themes for even easier navigation.

In the spirit of working together for an overall stronger sector, members are encouraged to upload and share their own forestry and timber photos, for use by the broader industry — a great way to support the industry while also promoting your businesses, products and services!

Anyone can apply for ImageShare access and request the use of its photos. Approvals are given at FWPA's discretion.

If you or the person in your organisation responsible for the development of marketing materials and other visual assets are looking for a simple way to make an impact at zero cost, ImageShare is there to help you!
