US visit accesses new data for FWPA statistics subscribers

Opportunities have progressed to access leading indicator data for the US industry. This information will be available through the FWPA data dashboard and will provide industry users with further understanding of the regional context in which the Australian industry operates.

Information agreed at this stage will include: 

• US sawlog removals (Source: FEA)
• US Housing starts commentary (Source: APA Engineered Wood Association) 
• Plywood and OSB quarterly production (Source: APA Engineered Wood Association)
• US Hardwood Lumber Production (source: Hardwood Market Report)

Discussions are progressing with the Western Wood Association for softwood lumber production.
